Classroom:Freeman has a 3.33 cumulative GPA in sociology and posted a perfect 4.00 in fall of 2007 course work. He was named to the Big 12 All-Academic second team in spring of 2007 and is a three-time selection to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

He is an excellent role model for the younger players, Jarod knows what the goals are and understands the effort needed to reach those goals. He is very proactive, whether it is with his involvement in the community, his academic pursuits or his athletic career.
